Alexis Ren is a swimsuit model and former Dancing with the Stars competitor. Naturally, this means that she’s into keeping fit, and she isn’t afraid to show it off, even when she’s not doing a shoot. Ren posted a new swimsuit shot to her Instagram story. She wore a leopard print number. She shared another photo in Alo yoga clothes. “Crushin on,” she captioned it. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Alexis Ren stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself.
She Journals
Ren tells Page Six that she is a big fan of journaling to help with her mental health and wellness. “Journaling is as necessary to me as having coffee in the morning. My godmother calls it ‘taking out the trash,’ because journaling has a similar effect as meditation. It cleanses your mind from recycled thoughts and shows you what your patterns are.”
She Has Her Own Wellness Support Group
Wellness is very important to Ren. So much so that she started her own wellness support group, called We Are Warriors. “My goal for this is that it becomes so powerful on its own, that it will stand on its own,” Ren told Insider. “I don’t want We Are Warriors to be associated with me. I want it be so authentic and whole and powerful that it stands on its own, and then we just have these amazing leaders and people in spaces.”
She Does A 10 Minute Ab Workout
Ren has great abs, which means she has a great ab workout. She posted this video on YouTube of her go-to ab routine, which she does daily. “It’s quick, to the point, and you’ll feel it the next day,” she wrote in the description. It features crunches, planks, and flutter kicks.
She Doesn’t Feel Pressured By Society
Despite being a model, Ren tells Glamour that she doesn’t feel pressured to look a certain way. She also says that she wants other girls to feel the same. “I want to be that girl to be like, ‘No, get the nose job. If you want it, get it. Don’t feel like you’re being peer-pressured into society’s beauty standard. You’re doing what you know is going to make you happy, and that should be celebrated.”
Ren tells Glamour that she makes sure to take care of her skin. She says that she does so on a regular basis. “It’s similar to how I feel about working out,” she says. “It’s not about doing intense products or harsh things. It’s really just about consistency and making sure that when I wash my face, it’s 100%. If I have to, I’ll wash my face twice. That’s what I think really took my skin to the next level: when I realized how hard it is to get everything off. It’s more of training your skin or body to be on a certain regimen.”
